I’ve always been the person asking, “What if?”

What if we built our own campground?

What if we opened a cafe?

What if we designed a product people would actually love?

What if there was a better way?

For as long as I can remember, I’ve looked at the world a little differently. I don’t just see businesses, products, or places for what they are. I naturally start imagining what they could become.

Over the years, that curiosity has led me down some interesting paths.

I’ve opened businesses, launched products, built websites, renovated properties, traveled thousands of miles, made plenty of mistakes, and learned skills I never expected to need. Some ideas turned into successful businesses. Others became expensive lessons. Every one of them taught me something worth sharing.

That’s why I created The Visionary Next Door.

This isn’t a website where I pretend to have all the answers. It’s a place where I document real projects from start to finish. The successes, the setbacks, the costs, the decisions, and the lessons learned along the way.

I believe most people don’t start because they’re waiting to know everything first.

My experience has been the opposite.

You learn by doing.

You solve one problem at a time.

And before you know it, you’ve built something you once thought was impossible.

When I’m not working on my next project, you’ll usually find me spending time with my husband and daughter, cooking homemade pizza, exploring Florida, traveling, or adding another idea to a notebook that’s already far too full.
